Handmade costumes inspired by 19th century studio portraits
What is the Value of Trade? Blankets as commodity and costume in 19th century New Zealand. This is the theme for an interestingly creative collaborative exhibition being staged at The Merchants of Kerikeri from 10th January 2020 to 29th February 2020.
The brainchild of Mary Kelleher (Handmade Histories and Storyteller), Mary teams her talents with those of Frances Goulton – Educator, and Tracey Stevens – Photographer, to bring to light this extraordinary event, as part of the Tūhono Kerikeri bicentennial celebrations.
